We have only stayed at DSV II once last April, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I would probably make a general request like "mountain view" or "top floor." A number of the units have full views of the mountains which are beautiful. We had what I would consider a partial mountain view, looking to the right of our balcony, directly across was another building and a small courtyard, but it was still beautiful. There is the main pool at DSV II called Palmeras Pool which has food and a bar and a children's pool so if you'd like to be near that, you could request that too. There are also golf course views if you'd like that. When we were there last year, the rooms were being renovated. We got an older room and it was showing it's wear. I would probably request a newer room if they have any available. Hope that helps. Enjoy your trip. It's a beautiful resort.
