Hello and thank for all your advise. I have learn a lot from your experience and knowledge. We are going to Branson the last week of Mach for about 5 days wi my two daughters of 10 And 8 years old. We are staying at Fall creek by dri. Could anyone give me advise what to do and where to eat. How is parking or public transportation is better? Any thing I need to know before I go is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You have nothing to worry about on the parking at Fall Creek (or in Branson altogether), but you are about 5-10 minutes away from the main strip and the restaurants. You should plan on driving your own car, for sure.

Very few restaurants are nearby (and the ones that are nearby are not recommended). Danna's Barbecue is a short drive from the resort and it's good. Many recommend the restaurant at the local college - it's called the Keeter Center.

Fall Creek resort is located on Lake Taneycomo (which actually is more like a wide river instead of a lake). It's good for trout fishing and/or a boat ride, but not much else.

As I mentioned in your previous post, you should plan to take the kids to SDC for a day (at least). The magic show is good for kids and the Moses production is highly recommended (previous past year's episodes were Joseph and Jonah). You are also a short drive from the dam and the fish hatchery. The kids may enjoy that, and then there is the multi-million dollar visitor center which is directly across the highway from the fish hatchery, and then over the dam. Table Rock State park is over there too and it's also the docking port of the Showboat Branson Belle - which the kids may enjoy also.

The kids (and adults as well) may enjoy Ride the Ducks which is a tour of part of the lake and surroundings in an amphibious vehicle.

Other shows kids may like are the Shanghai Acrobats. I haven't seen Moses but I saw their other productions and they are excellent quality, amazing sets and costumes. This company produces full musicals based on stories from the Bible.

The shows are not cheap so watch out for "discount ticket" places that are just trying to get you into a timeshare presentation. There is at least one legitimate 2 for 1 place and if I remember correctly, it is near the fire station (across from it?) and is in a purple building.

I haven't been to Branson for several years so maybe someone can give you more details about "the purple building".

Have fun!

One place you have to go to is Andy' Frozen Custard. I hadn't ever had frozen custard before (I'm an ice cream lover) and this is like nothing I've ever had before. Since we went there I've been all over but as far as frozen custard Andy' is the best and a must do.
