I am expecting a new SDO 1 bdrm small to activate in my account in July (12 weeks). What is the best strategy with II to get the best trade out of this 2025 week? Should I deposit right away? or search then deposit? Any other tips to maximize given only 6 - 8 months of reservations remaining in the the 2025 use year when this is loaded into my account in July?

You technically also have until December 31, 2025 to make the deposit. There is no real rush and when you deposit won't impact trade power.

Thank you. Is it worth it to sign up for EPlus when deposited?

Definitely - it gives you 3 changes to change your exchange to a different date/resort.

You don't do this when you deposit. You would do it either at the time of placing an ongoing search or up to 14 days after you have a confirmed exchange. I would only recommend doing it after you have a confirmed exchange.

If you know you aren't going to use the week then depositing it as early as you can gives you more shots at getting a match. II state that depositing early does increase your trading power not sure how much that matters unless it is a late deposit, or for when a blended week is deposited. You can also wait and see if II run an promotion with an incentive for depositing.

You have 14 days from the confirmation to get the e-plus once you have a match, so you don't have to do that at the point of making a request.

It doesn't really work that way with Vistana deposits. They provide a blended trade power depending on the resort and season you own. When you deposit, II is just assigning you a placeholder to exchange with. The deposit may follow later or it may come from a previously deposited week. That is why you can deposit up till December 31 of the use year.

Do you have to trade prior to when the deposit expires? e.g. book a stay before December 2025? or could I request 2026 trades using a 2025 deposit?

Your deposit is good through December 31, two years past the use year. So if you deposit 2025 use year, it doesn't expire until December 31, 2027. You can request or confirm travel for any date prior to the deposit expiration.
