We have been many times but are interested in others opinions of the best places to eat in the Cancun area. We figure with your input we may come up with some new places to check out when we go down again next month. Thanks for your input.

We just got back this weekend - stayed at The Royal Sands. There were a few good restaurants in the La Isla shopping mall. A placed called "Thai" was phenomenal - great ambiance (you eat in a hut over the water and it's right next to the aquarium so you can see dophins) and the food was good. Italianissimo in La Isla was also good Italian. We actually liked Mextreme for Mexican (it's behind the flea market). Not too expensive, fun atmosphere. Chocolate City was another decent place if you have young kids.

We were at Royal Mayan in May and we enjoyed the Thai restaurant inside Marriott's Casa Magna, as well as the restaurant at Captain's Cove. El Conquistador at RM was outstanding- the filet was the best!
