Best Maui Ocean Front Studio

Best Maui Ocean Front.
Westin. Westin North, Old Marriott or New.
Have Stayed in both new and liked, so that is what we are comparing to.
Looks like Old Marriott has a few that are angled so concerned about those.
Never stayed in Westin.

Wife like to watch for whales and turtles from the Patio.

Westin South. Suite 3631.

Direct (non-angled) ocean view. 12' long lanai. About as far from the water as the Old Marriott Molokai Tower OF units (i.e. close).

Westin studios are better rooms than Marriott as the Westin includes in room washer and dryer as well as stove top and full size refrigerator.

The views are comparable dependent on which unit/floor you are assigned.

No.

Every unit at WKORVN is at an angle to the ocean.

The one bedroom portion of every WKORV-OF unit is dead-on oceanfront. The studio side of the "OF Deluxe" studios is really OV -- they are on the side of the building rather than facing the ocean, although they are the closest OV studios to the water; the "OF Premium" studios (ocean front center) are true non-angled ocean front.

For points they only list Studio Premium. They are no other studio types listed, which is my concern that they are lumping all studios into Studio Premium.

You can book and then look up your reservation on marriott.com to see if it's studio deluxe (side) or premium (center). You can then cancel if it's deluxe and rebook an alternative.

How is his wife going to see the turtles from Westin? When we visited a friend there we noticed a berm hill that blocked the beach from view. Not a clear flat view of the beach like the Marriott. That is what motivated me to buy an oceanfront Lahaina building. Maybe we were just in a bad building. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

If want to watch turtles on beach, rare, and whales cruising by out front, I’d venture thr true Maui OF studios in Lahaina or Molokai towers, 6th floor and above, are hard to beat. Lahaina has smallest studio and balcony but span of view is aewsome.

This 7th floor Lahaina tower, corner. Studio is OF next to it.

WKORV has two categories of OF -- Premium and Deluxe.
WKORVN has only one category of OF.

I was talking about the south where there are two types of Oceanfront studios. There is only one type at the north.
