Best Marriott in Orlando for couple w/out kids?

We will be heading down to Orlando for a little Disney christmas magic this year. We own at Horizons but I noticed through II that just about every other Marriott resort is available in trade for the same timeframe.

I know Horizons is more family oriented which we don't mind in an off-peak time (like April or October). However, with a lot of families staying for the xmas holiday, we expect to see more kids than normal.

Any recommendations for a quieter (less kid-centric) Marriott resort? Neither one of us golf, but we have no objections to being near a golf course. It's Orlando, so obviously we can't avoid children altogether, but hopefully we can find something a bit more adult-oriented. We'll probably spend a lot of time in the parks so the resort will be our getaway location.

TIA!

I think that Grande Vista is good for couples in the off season. You have beautiful grounds, a nice pool, golf, and a very underrated restaurant and bar.

Royal/Sabal/Imperial Palms are very quiet, but have access to the World Center including a great pool, fitness center, spa, and restaurants.

Thanks for the replies. We're leaning toward Cypress.

Vacation planning is almost as much fun as the vacation itself.

Both Cypress Harbour and Grande Vista are very nice. I'd pick Cypress Harbour first because of the much more mature landscaping which makes the resort seem more secluded. I wouldn't hesitate going to either of these, though.

Another vote for Cypress Harbour.

Royal Palm

We've stayed at Cypress Harbor twice and we like it very much. We've also stayed at Royal Palm several times and like it very much. I would suggest staying there since it's just one exit from Disney and you have all the restaurants at the hotel so close by. Plus the hotel pool.

Royal Palm has a small pool that can be nice and quiet as many guests go up to the hotel with their children. The rooms just to the right (when facing) the pool are convenient and have a nice view looking at the golf course. If you can get an end unit you will have an extra window dining area which is nice.

Quieter place

We have stayed at Sabal Palms and own at Cypress Harbour. Sabal seemed even quieter than Cypress . We were there in July and units not full. Still had nice amenities.

If you want to be waited on hand and foot perhaps this would be a good choice ... even on points!
