I have a friend that wants to buy a Marriott exclusively for use during the 60 day window.

He would like 2 or 3 week use at the lowest initial and ongoing costs.

Which Marriott would you recommend and how much are the MF's and a typical initial cost?

I'm guessing a lockoff would be the best.
I had a Marriott Summit Watch, but the MF's over $800 are too expensive.

They have lock-out two bedrooms and the maintenance fee is low. Last year I almost bought one on ebay but I was out sniped. I think it sold for just over $5K.

I would suggest low season at either Habour Pointe or Manor Club. Both have low maint fees of just over $600, although HP has a special assessment this year, and can be purchased very cheap. They could probable find a green HP week for $1,000 or so.

Just remember that Marriott and low maint fees are, for the most part, mutually exclusive.
