Can anyone recommend the best location to request for our stay over President's week? Closest to skiing, but also a good location for the kids to be able to go to the marketplace, gym, etc.. Looks like Elk Lodge to me, but anywhere specific within the building? Also, does anyone know if the one bedroom/sleep 6 units have a hot tub on the deck?

I love Westgate in Park City. Excellent resort. I dont know if the building makes much difference, its not that large of a resort. The resorts dont have hot tubs off the deck. They have a jetted tub in the master suite. The swimming pool is indoor/outdoor.

We just returned from Westgate on Friday and were in room 2501 A/B, a 2 bedroom unit that slept 10 (not...). We had 8 people for a few nights and were MAXED! The unit that sleeps six was part of our unit. Two people sleep in the master (king) and in the living room there is a double sofa pullout, a single chair pullout and the dinette slides out to sleep 1 or 2. Mind you, when the dinette or the chair is pulled out, you won't be doing much walking around in the unit. It is TIGHT!!

The location of the room was actually very nice though - on the fifth floor of the Bear Lodge - which is convenient enough to the pool and spa (on the same floor). It is as close as you can get to the front lobby where you pick up the shuttle. That made it wonderful and convenient. I was initially a little disappointed as we had a view of the neigboring constuction of a new hotel across the street, but grew to love the convenience of our location. We did have a valley view as well. I might be inclined to ask for a higher floor unit next time just above where we were. The Pavillion spa is in the Elk Lodge. I highly suggest checkingit out. Go early and enjoy the steam, jacuzzi, sauna, etc... The marketplace and the restaurant are in the Elk as well.

I'll try to find my map of the property and can email it to you of you'd like. Hope this helps!!

Fletcher,

Thanks for the info! We are only four in the one bedroom side, so we should be ok. I will certainly ask for the top floor; I thought Elk would work since it looked closest to the Gondola, but proximity to other things is nice too. If you can find your map, I would love to have it, otherwise, we will manage. And I've already got several appointments lined up at Papillon Spa ;)
