It's very subjective. It depends on what you want. Some want to be right on the strip. Others value being a bit removed from the hustle and bustle. Some people have more money than time, others have more time than money.

What's important to YOU?

Although there are going to be many differing views on what the "best" is, there probably will be a concensous on what the "best" is not. The "best" is not one purchased from a developer.

That said, topcop pretty much covered what you need to ask yourself.

Leaving your email is probably NOT a good idea. If TUG members want to email you they can Private Message (PM) as long as your email is linked to your account. In case you don't know, you can edit that out (I think).

Depends On What The Meaning Of "Get" Is.

What is the best Las Vegas TS to get?
"Get" as in buy for good green money ?

Or "get" as in snag via RCI or I-I exchange reservation ?

I own at HGVC, and I love their system. They have 3 timeshares in LV. The most popular (and oldest) is HGVC Flamingo, which is right on mid-strip.

HGVC is certainly not the cheapest way to get into LV. But it's a great program. They also have locations in Florida, Hawaii, and Southern California. And you can trade your points for RCI timeshares. It's not for everyone, but if I were you I'd definitely check into the HGVC board on TUG.

Here's the link to the TUG advice section on HGVC.

I have a couple weeks at HGVC Vegas and have been a fan as well.

I now also am finishing up a purchase at Summer Bay Desert Club, which is turning into a new RCI Gold Crown Resort after some refurbishments and a land swap deal brought on by Harrah's who wanted the property of the former location.

This morning I watched a one bedroom week for SBDC go on ebay for $228 plus $500 in closing & transfer costs. A one bedroom resale for one of the HGVC's go for at least $4000 out the door.

I'd argue that the HGVC system offers more flexibility and options than Summer Bay D.C. will, but comparing apples to apples, 1 bdrm weeks HGVC vs. Summer Bay, I think there is a strong arguement to be made that the HGVC unit isn't worth a price 5 times that of Summer Bay if looking to use and stay in Vegas.

In case anyone is wondering, I've been using my HGVC weeks for stays in other locations and will be using the Summer Bay week for stays IN Vegas for an annual convention I attend.
