Best companies to use for Hawaii exchange

Hi- looking for Hawaii for next December (2012) after Christmas - are any of the smaller companies good (maybe tpi or platinum exchange etc)?

You need New Year's week? That's a bit tougher for the alternates, but if you want Maui, try tpmaui.com; if you want Kauai, there are some in RCI right now for New Year's week. Also, try htse.net. Generic log-in is 9999 and htse is the password.

We got New Years week from them this year.

I like Hawaii timeshare exchange because they don't "weight" their deposits. Any deposit can trade for any exchange of the same size. You can upgrade from a 1 bdm. to a 2 bdm. for $175.

Note that the online inventory is the leftovers, after ongoing requests have been filled (just like RCI and II.)

Memberships: 

$49.00 - One Year

$125.00 - Three Year

$199.00 - Five Year

Exchanges:

$79 - Internal Exchange (return to home resort)

$99 - Hawaii/U.S. Mainland Resorts

$109 - International

Upgrades:

You didn't say what island you were looking for but this is what I saw.

Platinum Interchange has Paniolo Greens on the Big Island 12-22-12 to 12-29-12
and 12-29-12 to 1-5-13 both two bedrooms/6.

Hawaii Timeshare Exchange Has Imperial Hawaii on Oahu for 12-23-12 to
12-30-12, 1 bedroom. They also have Mauna Loa Village, Big Island for
12-22-12 to 12-29-12, 1 bedroom.

I ve got 3 weeks already booked on the BI fir Dec 2012..with Platinum interchange , SFX, and just got an RCI at Mauna loa for Christmas week! Have a search in with platinum for a 4th week.

BTW, for 2011, I just got a week at KHV from Trading places fir November and was able to use a bonus week ...cost only $169 for the week. their bonus weeks are harder for us to use since they only can book 45 days prior. I then canceled my Wyndham point reservation and got the points back to use again.

We did the same thing last summer when Platinum Interchange had a week show up 90 days out so I could use their bonus week at only $119 cost. Again, I then canceled the Wyndham point reservation

So it is worth checking the smaller companies too.
