I see the following two closing companies listed in an advice article:

JRA services and Timeshare Transfer.

Are these the go-to companies or might the community have more suggestions?

Thanks all

You will find very VERY strong recommendations for the following company:

http://www.lttransfers.com/

I used them for two timeshares I gave away. Absolutely a pleasure to deal with. When I had one question about a form I was forwarded to sign, I got a revised form with a very nice, "Sorry about that" email within minutes. Everything went smoothly and they were very reasonably priced.

They will both do a good job for you - but LTT is a lot less expensive.

My $.02 -- TRCS has been very good for me. JRA is also good, however they charged me a $50 "time spent" fee when Marriott exercised ROFR.

What is TRCS?

Personally I would look no further than JRA Services or LT Transfers. Janet A. at JRA is a very experienced with timeshare resale closings, her business is long established and she is a very efficient and highly competent paralegal. LTT charges less, but is not nearly as long-established.

P.S. Denise: TRCS (referenced in post #4 above) may simply be an incorrectly presented abbreviation for Timeshare Closing Services (located in Orlando, FL).
TCS is "affiliated" with assorted eBay megasellers, charges too much, has no affiliation with professional legal personnel and does not make my "short list" in any scenario.

TRCS is not the same as TCS. You can visit their website at trcsinc.com.

I've used them before and I would have to say that they are the gold standard in timeshare transfers. They were extremely efficient (fast transfer), easy to reach / contact and very prompt in replying. Unfortunately, they are also very expensive. Only TCS is more expensive than they are, but TCS isn't nearly as good.

Legal Timeshare Transfers seems to be the most recommended title company for the average run-of-the-mill transfers.
