We have Marriott Rewards and SPG points that we could use to fly from lax to Thailand, return from Singapore.

Which airlines would possibly have a better chance to get ffmiles for the trip next mid-January? Any tips greatly appreciated!

I deleted my post because just about everything I said was wrong. Neither AA nor UA lets you search online for multi city itineraries. You'll have to call. AA doesn't let you look for International tickets either. I checked UA for tickets to both BKK and SIN for early Dec. and there were lots of flights but only in coach, no business or first class. UA is a partner with Singapore Air so that gives you another option.
