Since I don't have one of those super-amazing US Hilton credit cards, I am wondering if anyone could suggest a good credit card to pay my MF with in Canada. I understand that my Vegas Paradise ownership might post as a hotel category? Could someone confirm this? I was thinking of trying to put it on my Amex Cobalt card this year, which only earns 2X for travel. Not sure if anyone has found a better option? Thanks.

Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite. 1% cash back, but most importantly no fx fee. Other cards have 2.5% fx fee.

Good point. All my cards right now have an fx fee. DH has a US card, which might work out in this situation, though it's not going to give me an extra 1% bump like yours does.

I have been using my Amex Cobalt card in the US a lot for dining, with the 5x multiplier on groceries/dining category I still come out ahead even after the fx fee.

I don't think this is any better than what's already been recommended, but Home Trust Preferred Visa has the same rewards.
