So I also own a fixed week at Seawatch on the Beach. I opted to enroll into HGVC (long story, due to issues with the sale/purchase).
Anyway I own week 37 (September week).

I got my Seawatch on the Beach newsletter, and they had a small section about COVID questions from owners. The obvious like:
Will I get my MF refunded?
What if my fixed week is "now" and the resort is closed?

Basically the answer is you're SOL.

So at least if one enrolled into HGV you'd be able to convert the points to use within HGV system. Not sure what would happen if you had deposited that week into Interval (since the week is unusable, I don't know what Interval would do with it).

One very small "positive" for this crappy situation anyway.

I will admit HVC handling of the whole thing has been excellent, IMO.

We discussed this topic on the TUG chat a few weeks.

Surely it seems that points owners have much better flexibility when travel is disrupted. Fixed Week owners are heavily impacted by Pandemic, Hurricanes and other natural disasters. Points give you options to mitigate those things.
