The timeshares are north at Birch Bay (WM or Raintree), Lynden (VI) or NE at Glacier on the Mt Baker Highway. Snowater, at Glacier, is your most likely match and is about 45 mi-1 hour from Bellingham. The summer there would be lovely with the option of hikes on the many trails around Mt Baker. There are a couple of may weeks out there now which is low season and should be a low TPU number. WM tends to deposit off season weeks so that will be your most difficult trade. If you want the WM, you might want to try a direct exchange or rent from an owner.

Just to expand a bit on Sue's great information, Birch Bay and Lynden are both about 25-30 minutes north of Bellingham: Birch Bay to the NW and Lynden to the NE.

Lake Padden is a good municipal course. DH likes it. He also likes Sudden Valley. If you are in Birch Bay, you would be close to two other excellent courses: Loomis Trail and the Semiahmoo Resort course.
