A black bear attacked a woman in Leavenworth at Enchantment Park in front of the Worldmark. Last Saturday was the end of Octoberfest and it does quiet down a little between Octoberfest and Christmas Lighting. Anyway, the lady survived and the bear was euthanized and her cubs have been sent to PAWS. It's really a rare thing for this to happen there, imo. Probably has something to do with the wild fires causing animals to migrate.

Black bear is killed after injuring woman in Leavenworth

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife killed the bear after it charged a woman who had let her dog out. The woman's injuries are not life-threatening.
