We will be going to Ocean Pointe for three weeks this summer. Is it permitted to set up a canopy on the beach and leave it overnight? I cannot remember seeing this at Ocean Pointe although I have seen it on Gulf Coast beaches. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I doubt if you will get an official answer on this or the OP board, mainly because I doubt if anyone knows.
Listed below is the e-mail address for the Palm Beach Shores town hall.
Someone there may be able to give you a yes or a no.

My personal opinion is that it would not be allowed overnight, and to be honest, with the unpredictable winds and the fact that the beach is open to the public, there is a strong possibility that it wouldn't be there in the morning.
Good luck,
Mike

The beach @ OP is public property.
You can probably leave whatever you want to leave there overnight. But, as Mike has suggested, you do run the risk that it will not be there in the morning. That said, I would leave it. I would be more concerned about losing it to Mother Nature than thieves. So long as you do not have extremely high winds, your canopy shd be ok.
