I was there in October and if you don't see any empty chairs there is a guy who is more than willing to get you one. They have a whole bunch stored on the side of the building. Also they have pads there as well. I loved that.
The rule at UVC resorts is any chair that's unoccupied for one hour is fair game.
I have moved peoples crap off chairs without any problem. The towels people leave on chairs cost $25.00 should they be lost.
Every morning you will see a handful of people who will place items on chairs in the best spots at the resort who will then leave for a few hours until the temps just right or for what ever reason. Its less towels and more personal crap occupying the chairs as when one of these squatters loses a towel they will use something less valuable the next time.
Yes, there are umbrellas. You may need to remove someones items and neatly put them to the side. Some folks feel they have more rights to these spots than every body else. If your not comfortable with removing some ones junk you could have the attendant remove it for you.
