Had a huge pulled pork BBQ sandwich topped with cole slaw at the Bistro restaurant in the Kong Lung shopping center, Kilauea, Kauai. You'll go right by it on the way to the lighthouse. Perfect fries too. Wife raved about her fish sandwich. We didn't need supper that evening.

As good as anything you will find in Texas. One is not enough--I'll be back.

Kilauea Bakery is a great place for breakfast and is on the back side of the Bistro

Know the location very well. We stop at Kong Lung almost every time we visit Kaua'i, on our way to or from the Lighthouse. Every year we buy a ceramic from Banana Patch studio, either at Kong Lung or at the studio in Hanapepe. DW likes the soap store. Was sad when we learned that Daphne died.

We've never eaten at the Bistro - your post gives good reason to check it out some time.
