Hi All,

I've read in other threads and confirmed with Bay Club that they can rent to owners additional units within 30 days of planned check-out date.
So this sounds comparable to the HGVC open season period.
Has anyone done this? Were Bay Club's rates better than open season?

Unfortunately I neglected to ask Bay Club about their rates when I called them to ask about other things.
We plan to go in September after Labor day which is low season, so there's a better chance, I hope, of having rental units.

Thanks!

I would imagine the rates might be a little better than open season rates because it is pulling from a separate inventory from the original developer.

Did something similar this Sept and Bay Club at 30 day window only had 6 of the 9 days we wanted. Ended up renting at The Shores at Waikoloa for only slightly more then HGVC open season rates. Fairway Villas and Beach Villas had similar values. Vista Waikoloa was actually cheaper. All as you likely know are near the Bay Club and the Shores are identical units.

Unless you must have additional unit at Bay Club, consider VRBO now and save yourself the stress

I assume that the within 30 day rate is identical to HGVC Open Season. Logically, after converting my Bay Club into HGVC I book Bay club for points calling my HGVC agent. HGVC has a standardize chart for open Season that seems to apply a fixed dollar amount to all locations, instead of asking more $ for more desirable locations. Too bad that the price of all Open season units went up in price to the current level.
