I know there are more (and will be more) units available in the Waikoloa area. Can anyone tell me what the availability is for Bay Club? If you are a Bay Club owner, how difficult is it to get a week at xmas?

At the Bay Club, Christmas and New Year Weeks are fixed ownership. Other owners who own floating weeks 1-52 can wait until fixed week owners either decide to use or not.

Note that not all Bay Club floating ownership allows 1-52. Some floating ownership allows 1-50 only.

In 2003, I went on the waitlist for week 52 as a floating week ownership. I received notice that I got week 52 reservation at about 6 months prior in about July of 2003.

Option 2 would be to try and get a reservation through HGVC Club points at 9 months. I don't know how successful this would be.

Thanks Short for posting this note. I had noticed that a few adds did say weeks 1-50. I'll have to make sure I add this question to my list, as it is important. Christmas week (every other year) is a main reason we are looking into this.
