There's a 4100 point HGVC Seaworld on eBay right now that's currently going for $1.25. No reserve. Ends today at 18:20 PDT. I'm sure it will get bid up, but as of now, it's an unbelievable bargain. I'd bid, but I just closed on 7000 points and am maxed out right now for what we can use & pay MFs for.

4100 pts means it is a 3 bd silver season. So you'll get a great deal upfront but you'll also be paying MFs on a 3 bd and only getting 4100 pts/year.

Yeah, the ad states Silver Season, (home resort weeks 44 - 50), with MF's & taxes at $1007/yr. It also states HGVC has ROFR

As of this posting it's at $114 with less than 4 hours left. Hard to guess what a 3 bdrm silver season will pass ROFR for, but I'm betting they'd excercise it if it goes for less than a few thousand. Their sales force likely could sell it for $10,000 or more.

Winning price: $2236.11.

I posit that this was a great price, despite it being a silver 3BR and hence higher MFs. Just a guess, but I bet that if you applied a net present value calculation to the difference in maintenance fees (NPV() function in excel), and compare it to what you'd pay for gold or platinum points, you'd come out ahead.

I wonder if it will pass ROFR...
