Hi all,

I'm buying a Wyndham week that has points banked from last year. What happens to those points ? Do they transfer with the week? Do we have to do something special to make that happen?

Thanks,

Marl

points transfer

if the seller is specific and tells the transfer co. that the points remains, then they do not transfer ,if nothing is told to the transfer co. then any points or weeks reserved from that contract will transfer, you have to tell the transfer co. what you want to do ,and then they tell wyndham.

I will chime in here.... In Most Cases, Credit Pooled points are still assigned to the contract they were pooled from and therefore will transfer with the contract. (regardless of the # of contracts within a member #)... that is unless for some odd reason, a wyndham rep unassigned or reassigned the credit pool points to another contract.

It is cancelled points that are automatically unassigned to any specific contract and sit within the member # and will only transfer with the last remaining contract to be txfred out of the member #. Look... even if a closing company indicated to txfr or not to txfr pool points/cancelled points, Wyndham is a large company, and that requests never sticks! Even if you put it on the txfr dox.. it will likely be looked over or disregarded. It is around the table, cancelled points are only associated with the last remaining contract within a member #, and will txfr out when that last contract txfrs. Pooled points usually txfr with said contract they were pooled from with no worries... unless there was some outlining situation that occured. Hope I dont' have that reversed now that i think about it... haha.. i think said info is correct tho.

points transfer

I might add to my above post that ,as some people have stated to pool the left over points, you can not pool last years points if the use year has already started, but you can put them in rci ,as for what transfers from the sold contracts wyndham tracks the points used for each contract sold anything not used from that contract when sold will transfer if they are not told otherwise, but to be sure call finance dept.,owners relations etc. and ask them as I stated in this post and the previous post is exactly what was done and was told to me 4 months ago ,it's always better to call and talk to the horses mouth. after posting this I looked at post's 5 and 6 above and that is why I said to call them you may get a different answer than mine or poster's 5 and 6 sorry for the edit should have read those post's first, but wanted to share what i discovered!

FYI. The resale has closed and the credit pool points transferred with the contract. This was the sellers only contract, not sure it that made a difference.

Thanks for the update. I will add that I made a purchase in which the seller had multiple contracts and the credit pool points did transfer.
