Bank hotel portion of lockoff with II?

We have a 2 bedroom lockoff that a kind board member looked up the TPUs in RCI for me, having used II in the past to exchange. RCI lists TPUs for both the 1 bed. portion and the hotel room portion. II has always only given me the option of depositing either the whole 2 bed. unit or the 1 bed. unit. What are my options with II for the remaining hotel portion of the lockoff if I deposit the 1 bed. portion?

Edited to add: Just did a search on II using just the 1 bed. portion and pulled up everything from 0, occ. 4 (I'm assuming this means hotel room) to 3 bedroom units at resorts in Orlando (2012 summer weeks) that would be acceptable to us. If I can't deposit the hotel room portion (but I assume I can otherwise there wouldn't be any on II to exchange into, right?) with II, can I deposit my 1 bed. with II and the hotel portion with RCI? The hotel portion gets 15 TPUs by itself and I'd hate to waste that if I could get an extra week out of my 2 bed unit by splitting it between the two companies. I would prefer to stay with II for the "main" exchange as we are not usually able to deposit and exchange at least 9-12 months ahead of time and best case scenario of course, would be to have two units (the lock-off split into 1 bed. and hotel) available for exchange with II and not bother with RCI at all.

Thank you!

Does anyone have any insight into my question? I've been scouring the stickies and other forums here, but haven't found the answers yet. Surely I'm not the only one with a 2 bed. lockoff that separates into a hotel room, that also is affiliated with II?

I think it depends on your resort and the agreement they have with II. I know there are lock off portions at some resorts that can not be deposited with II. If you deposit the part that can be deposited (but not the whole unit) your options would be to use it yourself, rent it, or exchange it with an exchange company that will accept just the lock off hotel portion.

I suggest you calling your resort first and if necessary call II. If II's website does not give you the option it probably can't be deposited with them but it might just be a glitch in the way it displays for you.

You can lock off a unit and deposit different parts with different exchange companies as long as they will accept it.

If it is Sandstone Creek resort in Vail, II does not allow independent deposit of the bedroom as a lockoff. Funtime

Thank you both for your replies! I will call my resort and ask about depositing the hotel room portion separately with II and RCI. Is it safe to assume if my resort was showing 15 TPUs for just the hotel room, that I can deposit just that portion with RCI? I hope that was for a 2012 deposit and not what it would take to exchange into the hotel room at my resort. If it matters, the resort is week 34 Legacy Vacation Club Orlando Oaks, #8614 with RCI.
