hi everyone,
we had the most glorious weather. high 80's and cool breeze everyday. when we got there (3 hours late) only 3 restaurants were open. so we ate at the atlas bar and grill and had the famous $15 burger.

Next day went on the rapid and the current river, had a great time. i did get knocked into a rock and i am all black and blue. but loved every minute of it.

we brought pineapple juice and peach nectar from home and bought a bottle of coconut rum so i mixed drinks in the villa and put them in thermos' that i brought from home. so we saved a bundle on drinks. and got a little tipsy :whoopie:

we stayed in the premium 1 bedroom in phase 1. our room was in fabulous condition, the furniture does not need to be replaced in that unit. the appliances, the TV's should definitely be replaced as well as the counter tops to granite.

harborside was crowded, 97% of the people were all from NJ. they all have off from school. the atlantis was empty. it was so nice to find a lounge chair at any pool.

2nd day we opted to stay at the the harborside pool. very relaxing. spoke with many clueless owners. there are so many owners out there that don't know anything about how to use the starwood system. it amazes me that people invest so much money into a timeshare and they don't take the time to figure out all the benefits.

3rd day went to the spa and that was great and very relaxing.

we had a great flight home. parked at the new jetblue parking garage at JFK and it was soooo convenient.

home for a while, we have a weekend trip planned for thanksgiving in NYC to see shows with all the kids.

i almost had internet withdrawal but i survived.

the weather was in the high 80's, but the water was cooler than it was in May.they do not heat the pools. i could definitely go in but i do not know what the temp of the water was. the weather started to change when we were leaving on friday. the hurricane was starting to move to the islands.

no pics. didn't bring a camera.

you will have a great time in september. are you bringing someone to help with the kids so you and DH can go out at night?

my friends did that and they had a great time.

When we got in late (~930pm), Harborside front desk told us only Atlas Bar was open. We walked over, but decided we weren't in the mood for a hamburger that late, especially at $15+.

Turns out that Johnny Rockets stays open until 11pm, was probably closer, had a more varied selection, and were better on pricecs. Lesson for next time...

I got in last night. It's overcast with occasional rain. Looks like it may stay this way most of the week with Paloma lingering in the Caribbean.

When I was there last month, we got moved into Bldg 2 I believe. When you are walking down the driveway next to the lobby building, the room dead ahead, first floor was ours. Needless to say, no view at all for us. My parents were in the lockout portion, their deck was angled, basically pointing to the back doors of the lobby, so a bit better.
