Availability at Aruba Surf Club

I was wondering is someone with point can check and see if there is availability for checkin at Marriott Aruba Surf Club on Thursday May 26-June 2, 2016 in a 2bdrm, view doesn't matter.

That is usually low season so I would think there was plenty of availability but wanted to make sure.

Only three of those nights are available in Ocean View. No availability at all in the other three view categories.

Doesn't look good. There are a couple days available, but not the entire week. Checked next door at Aruba Ocean Club also and nothing there either. Sorry.

Thanks. I was hoping for a massive dump of weeks into II like they have in the past, but I think that weekend and resort has become popular due to the festival that weekend.
Guess I will be sharing a lockoff with my sister..

Actually it is more than just that weekend. There is essentially nothing available at that resort for the several surrounding weeks either.

There are not the weeks shown in II for both properties that one normally would see for that time of the year now as well.

Just a hunch since it doesn't seem to be busier on the island generally is that Marriott is holding the weeks longer than in previous years.

I will continue to check II. I know in the past, they have done a bulk deposit in II early in February.

With it being low season, I hope Marriott is holding the weeks longer and they will still do a bulk deposit. We shall see.

If Marriott is holding the weeks longer, wouldn't there be DC points availability? Otherwise, why would they hold them?

Agree. Makes no sense to hold if there is no DC availability. Can anyone explain the bulk deposit equation that we know exists for,the Aruba Surf Club?

In 2015, the bulk deposit for the Aruba Surf Club occurred in February for the may dates so it was at the 90 day mark.

We shall see what happens at the beginning of February 2016!!

I am curious too if Marriott will do a bulk deposit. Need something a week later than what the OP is looking for. Have checked II daily, actually several times a day, for availability to upgrade an unit I have now. Nothing available. I am an owner there, no weeks available and no points either. I can not believe it. I do have total of 6 units reserved there now ranging from studios to 2 bedrooms but need one more unit. Lots of friends and family going. Can't wait! I'm hoping Aruba will be available on choose 2 and AC grids for June like in the past, we shall see. But how it looks now I am very doubtful.

About a week ago, there were several 2 bdrms at Aruba Ocean Club and 1bdrms at Surf Club. None of them fell on the checkin date that I needed. They are all gone now. I guess I will be staying in a lockoff for the first time.

I saw all those units too. I was able to upgrade one of my 1- bedrooms to a 2 bedroom at Ocean Club but the check in day is not ideal. Hoping to retrade it for a check in day 2 days earlier. Took Ocean Club out of desperation, wanted Surf Club. If there is no bulk deposit I am so disappointed and shocked. We actually picked the first week of June based on that (=low season, lots of availability) in hopes of upgrading units.

I had an AC I got for depositing an unit. I had a pending request with it for one or 2 bedroom unit either at Ocean or Surf Club. It did match after about 5.5 months for a one bedroom at Ocean Club for exact check in date I wanted. Adds to the puzzle....if AC matched how come the availability is so limited for regular trades??

I have 2 more ACs on my account but can't do pending request with them and can only search 60 days out. I guess I was dreaming when I thought I could use them as well to get even just a studio.
