Auto Slash no longer automatically tracks rental car prices

I have made 2 reservations for rental cars this past month with Auto Slash. I noticed today that you have to request it if you want them to track your reservation for a lower price. I requested tracking for the one I made this morning and the one I made on 12/14, and within minutes I got an email notifying me of a lower price on the 12/14 reservation. It saved me $32.

I don't remember Auto Slash automatically tracking my rental unless I went to their website and clicked on track my rental.

I agree - I thought you had to ask them to track your rental?

I too have always put it in to track. I'm guessing a misunderstanding occurred? I think I've used them maybe 20 times and really appreciate Autoslash service.

AutoSlash has never automatically tracked your rentals, even if you make the reservation through them. You have to register it to be tracked. And if they do find a cheaper rental YOU have to cancel the original rental AND then register the new rental for tracking.

Maybe I just clicked through on prior reservations and did request tracking without realizing it? I always got a follow up email stating they were going to look for cheaper rates. This was the first time I remember specifically having to ask.
Today I did change to the cheaper rate (Alamo), and when I went in to cancel the first reservation (Dollar) it was already changed. Both reservations were through Priceline.

I wish there was an neat way to decline a lower price and tell autoslash why. They often send me "lower cost" rentals 40 minutes away, and those don't interest me. If you email them (just reply to their email), they can apparently limit this, but there's no way on the website to put this limit in.

I occasionally get a referral to San Clemente, which is 25 miles away if you're a crow, but 60 if you have to get there on a road.

Yes, they have sent me 2 more offers for cars in Orlando, but they are off-airport and I only want companies that do not involve taking a shuttle bus.
