I read in AAA magazine about the "NY state law enforcement fee". It is $5 per year per vehicle but with the 6 month polices some companies double charge. I checked mine for the last 5 years and sure enough double charged. I called the company and the person I spoke with said she would investigate it and get back to me, a week later not a call. I will persue this tomorrow but for you new yorkers with 6 month policies, check your declaration pages, if you save them, and if you are charged twice in a row, you are getting ripped off.
