Australia Car Rental

We will be arriving in Melbourne, Australia next week and I need help deciding which car rental to keep. Several months ago I reserved a car at carrentals.com that had a total price of $269.70 (USD). Today I rented a car with auto europe that had a total of $200.28 excluding local fees.[ Does anyone know how much the local fees could be? I have a couple of days to cancel this one without penalty. The "small print" indicates that there is a Vehicle Registration Recovery Fee (VRRF) of approximately $6.55 AUD per day and also a credit card surcharge of 1.65% on all local fees for credit cards. Also an airport surcharge ranging from 4% - 22%. I just want to get the best deal for the rental car. HELP!
