Hello,

I'm new here and i'm wondering how to find a closing company or how i go about giving away my time share?

I'm very concerned that closing costs will be in the thousands of dollars and i will not be able to afford that. How do i find a company that will deal with the transaction? Does anyone here have any recommendations?

I want to make sure the transaction is as clear as possible so we are not liable for anything afterwards. The time share has been paid off.
We only are responsible for the yearly fees, but it doesn't have RCI points. Will this be a candidate for giving away at all?

Unless this timeshare has significant resale value (most don't) unloading it will be a do-it-yourself project.

Reputable brokers charge a commission (out of the proceeds of the sale) that starts around $1,000. So unless your timeshare will sell for significantly more than that, they won't accept the listing.

However, there are lots of NOT-reputable sellers out there, who will list it for a high up front fee, and then make no attempt to sell it. That is always a scam!

If you look at the link I posted, and the example, there is a closing company.
