So sat through the sales pitch. It was enticing for the MVCI Asia Pacific
The offer started at 16.50 a point and then became 15.75.

they offered 0% interest for 5 years with 15% down and then gave you 2 years free in II, and 2x bonus points to use in the next 2 years so 2000 would became 6000.

What became intriguing is if you invite guests to any of the AP properties they’ll give them a 3 night 4 day stay free (Have to attend the 90 min presentatio). They said this could be used unlimited times.

They did try to sell the flexchange as a MVCI program. But reading the fine print the 60 Day or less booking for 1000 points is for II.

This made me wonder if its worth buying from MVCI In AP.

any thoughts?

The AP and DC Points programmes do “work together” now, but they remain separate systems with various differences including separate important dates for banking...etc, and if you are already in the DC Points programme and want to use both you have to make separate bookings with each.
Many Owners do own both and make this work successfully, but it is something to be aware of.
There can be several advantages of owning AP Points v DC Points, but the major one is that Maintenance Fees are substantially lower $0.435 v $0.604
The initial purchase price is typically a little higher though.

Yes I did notice that about the purchase price and I also saw resale hasn’t came up as much.
I was really just shocked at the 0% for 5 years. It makes the purchase enticing. If you purchase 2000 points it’s ~$470 month which is less then a car payment.

I was told MCVI is aggressively marketing the AP region. This is why they have the unlimited free 4d3n referral program.

Resale purchase options are much more limited with AP Points, although you will find especially Asian and European Resale brokers offering them.
There is also a dedicated MVC AP Points fb group, where you will find Owners selling them.
The 0% finance and Bonus Points are a good incentive.
Just check though that the 2,000 base points would give you something useful, as a one week stay in Phuket in dry season will need 3270 Points.
