Well Tuggers, I remain in awe of your collective ability to find a deal where none exist. My family ( three or four of us) are going to Atlanta (Decatur specifically.) I have looked at hotel websites and VRBO (and Air BnB) and the best I can do so far is about $1000+ for the accommodations.

Any ideas? and thoughts? any timeshare in Atlanta?

looking forward to picking your brains. Thanks in advance!

Hi JP,

First I see you are from Canada too so was the price CAD or USD?

I commuted down to Atlanta for work a few months several years ago. I think there are very few timeshare within even 1 hour drive of Atlanta and traffic can be pretty horrible during rush hour so depending on how many nights/days you plan to stay and if it is during week vs weekend.

If you have a lot of stuff you need to be at Decatur for, I would suggest that you stay there or close to there. If you stay over a weekend, also try checking into some properties/hotel you like both reservation for the whole time vs breaking down the reservation for weekend vs weekdays. I know I stayed at a couple of Hyatt Places on a few trips and their internet rates were much lower on the weekends then even the corporate rate.
