I have a friend who owns a 30,000 points. She said she get a 1 Br. when she goes somewhere. I am not familiar with the Hilton program.

What is the easiest way to get rid of it? From what I understand it is paid for but she owes the MF's for this year.

Will Hilton take it back?

More Information Needed

I think a little more information is needed from your friend. First of all there are no Hilton Timeshares that give an owner 30,000 points exactly. A one bedroom timeshare can be from 2500 points up to 12,600 points depending on the resort, season, and type of 1 BR. The deed will be able to provide the additional information or a call to Hilton Grand Vacation Club with the account number can get that information.

With the appropriate information there are reseller brokers on this website that will be able to help sell the timeshare. I don't think that Hilton will take it back, but it could be sold for significant money.

Don't do a Virtual Ad contact a Broker

I don't want you to contact me in a private discussion nor do I want you to violate the rules and place a virtual ad. Contact one of the Brokers that deal with HGVC. Seth Nock, Sellingtimeshares.net, is one of them. The point of my post is that you are not getting all of the details correctly from your friend to be able to help in this situation.

Please tell your friend do not pay any up front fees to list or to sell their timeshare.

More than happy to have someone look at account

Saw your post, if you send me details I'll be more than happy to have local exec pull up account to see if they will take back. I worked in industry a long time as well as own before starting small advocacy firm. Hilton is one of the more frustrating systems. A good friend of mine runs or local resort, so happy to assist if you need. Many cars they will if valuable location so don't take any advice reverting you to broker or paid service!

The fees have to be paid before Hilton or anyone else will take it. After she pays the fees, she can ask Hilton if they will take it back. She can also offer it as a give away here on Tug, but if Hilton is willing to take it, that will be easier and less work for her. If the timeshare has any value, she can have one of the brokers who specialize in HGVC resale list it and sell it. It takes a few months, but it is a very easy process.
