If you want to play games with your Social Security payout, go to:

WWW.SSA.GOV

There is an online calculator, (if you are willing to brave Gov't computer security) or there is a down load of the same thing for your own computer. (I download and install on my "sterile" computer.)

You enter all your earnings history, and then you can do calculation based upon retirement date, and other variables. You can save off the file and have multiple files. You can enter estimated future earnings, as well.

A little work, but very handy. . .

This thread should be retitled since the linked article has more SS questions that others may have. Maybe "Some SS benefit questions answered..."
