Hi All,
We are staying at Aruba Surf Club for the first time in June for 11 nights on points. Can someone tell me how tidy/cleaning works?

Thanks,
Denise

There is a free mid week tidy (used to be on the third day but now I think it might be on the fourth), and you should get a full clean after a week (at least that's what happens when you stay for more than a week on week bookings or exchanges).

You can exchange your beach towels at the towel hut daily and I've never had a problem requesting extra towels for the room if I need more/fresh towels.

The tidy service midweek does not include a change of sheets but its never been an issue for us. However if you want a more frequent cleaning you can purchase it. The rates last year were
- $26.50 (guest unit), $34.50 (master unit), $54 (2 bedroom), $68 (3 bedroom) for an extra tidy service.
- $29 (guest unit), $39 (master unit), $61 (2 bedroom), $75 (3 bedroom) for a full service cleaning.
- $13.50 (guest unit), $14.50 (master unit), $27 (2 bedroom), $34 (3 bedroom) for trash & towel service.

Have fun Denise! We look forward to heading back next year.

Are you talking about Marriott Reward points? If so, you should receive daily housekeeping as a hotel guest-not timeshare guest.

Thanks for all of your responses...:)

We are using Vacation Points for the first time, usually we go 2 weeks but when the company I work for was bought out I ended up having less vacation days. So this trip is only 11 nights.

I did finally call Marriott, they originally said that it would be tidy service on days 3, 6, & 9, but she wanted to followup with the resort to be sure.
Here is her response...
"We have heard back from the resort. You will receive the tidy service on the 4th day and a full cleaning on the 7th day."

M61376 - I didn't know about the Towel hut, so that will help alot. :) :)

BonBiniGirl - We usually don't pay for cleaning, but it is nice to know just in case I decide to do it. We are having a guest with us this time, so who knows what that will mean.

DKT- just so you know, the towel hut is located by the pool. There is also an air hose there for your floats; don't forget to bring floats or tubes with you for the Lazy River and/or the beach. You can purchase them on-site, but they are more costly.

Thanks, any recommendations on the best type of tube? Are the beach towels a nice size? When we go to St Thomas we usually bring a couple of our own towels for when we go to St Johns or any of the other beaches. Any other suggestions on what to bring would be appreciated.

I just found this really nice freezable cooler to take to the pool, it the size of a tall lunch bag.

I constantly get "where did you get those?" for the Swimways recliner; or at Target
Any pool store tire tube works though if you don't want to spend as much.
The beach towels are basic beach towels; they are a nice size and you can take them with you if you go to another beach.
