Aruba Surf-Ocean Club reservation help

Are there any tricks to getting a week reservation at the Ocean or Surf Clubs in Aruba? I have been trying for months to book for March, April, May, June 2025 with points. We are Presidential level so we start 13 months out. We have also had dates added to the the wait list with no success

Check again at 12 months more inventory is released then. Double check you have the right day to search, using the when can I reserve tool.
As the resort is weeks only you rely on owners (including MVC) to elect their ownership. More inventory will go in as the 2025 election deadlines of end Sept and end Oct approach.

Are you attempting to book right when your booking window opens at 9 AM EST , 13 months out? Also, are you trying to book at least 7 days? I too am Presidential and have been having a lot of problems making some of my reservations at 13 months out. I even tried at 12 months out and 10 months out, as they suggested, but to no avail. Part of my issue is I was trying to make less than 7 day reservations (one of our Presidential benefits), but finding that reservations for less than 7 days were pretty much blocked. So there has been a lot of strange things going on with the inventory the past year or two. Ocean and Surf Clubs may not have much inventory in the trust as I believe they are still selling weeks there - so any inventory would probably be someone not using their deeded week?

There is no trick. Remember, Aruba is a RTU held by individuals and the MVC Trust does not have any Aruba weeks in the Trust. The only way points can book Aruba is when the owners elect Club Points in lieu of occupancy. If Aruba owners are not opting to elect points there is nothing you can do to magically get a points based reservation. You mentioned you are on a wait list, that is the best option given that you are trying to book with points. Note that many Aruba owners opt to rent out their units directly, or they exchange via II. If you own anything other than MVC Club Points, try and exchange via II. If you only own MVC Trust Points, then try a different time of year.

The MVC Trust doesn't own any inventory outside of the USA. There is zero Aruba inventory in the trust. It is irrelevant that weeks are still being sold; that is what happens outside the USA. The only inventory comes via the Exchange -- when owners elect Club Points in lieu of occupancy.

We booked a week using points and visited last July at Ocean Club. We enjoyed it. While there they offered the Encore package for us to come back. We took it and are going back in July. During my original booking I did not encounter any issues. I guess I was lucky and picked a good date and was doing it for a week. Saturday to Saturday. I added on 3 days to the 4 day Encore to put us there for a week this July.

We successfully booked the second week of March 2025 in a 2BR OV at Aruba Ocean Club right when the 12 month reservation window opened (actually a bit before it "officially" opened). There were a variety of unit sizes and views available, but they only lasted a few minutes before they were all gone.

I was also trying last year for March and gave up. I booked 10 days at the Ocean Club in November 2024 instead of 7 days in March 2024. Next time I will put in an exchange in interval as well as mentioned above.

Put in a waitlist request. April, May & June should not be all that difficult of a reservation. March is pretty prime and could be tough.

No, given the floating nature of the weeks system at most MVC resorts, this is not applicable as to what will come available. Monday and Thursday starts are easier to reserve. They may also have a minimum stay at times. You'll have far more luck at 7 days out on the Friday that points reservations are available for a given week12 months out. Remember that a waitlist ties up the points. Late March through early June should be fairly easy. Double check your timing to be sure you're hitting the moment when they are actually released.

The SC weeks arrival days are Thursday-Monday. I think the OC is Friday to Monday, but could be Fri-Sunday. Of course, on points, there may be Tuesday or Wednesday arrivals available, but as others have posted, since there are no weeks in the Trust, nor will there be, point reservations depend on owners trading their legacy week for points in any given year.

They can also pull inventory from Interval, which they likely do to help fulfill waitlist requests.

Friday-Monday is correct for Ocean Club weeks.
