Looking at an oceanfront 2BR Platinum week resale. Wondering what price might successfully pass ROFR. I don’t see anything very recent in the database.

Wowza. That’s a high price 17K. I just snagged a 2 bedroom in June on exchange

June isn’t Platinum and would sell for much less.

Just heard from a broker that Marriott exercised ROFR at $24,000. Sales rep here stated they would now be very aggressive in exercising ROFR as the merger becomes finalized in the 2nd quarter.

Be careful. I'm not saying it's true in this case but I do know of timeshare resales embellishing their ROFR info to get you to up your offer in some cases. Plus even if accurate it's not a linear situation. I've seen them take a contract then within a short time let one go through that was cheaper and/or a better deal in other ways. Thus I'd suggest being careful about what you offer and that you not be afraid of losing a week to ROFR. Specifically don't overpay to try to avoid ROFR.

Last May Marriott exercice ROFR on my Aruba Ocean Club offer of $4,000 for a 1BR Gold Oceanfront.
Past November Marriott gave me a waiver for the very same unit for only $3,500.
If I had listen to the broker I would have offer $4,500 and more... so be cautious.
