Today, I got many many TS presentation offers from at least 5 different people in the airport (after passed custom) and also after check-in (at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach).

Casa Dorada offered :
$150 restaurant credit + free whale watch for 2 people + free private deep sea fishing for 5 hours which includes food, drink (also alcoholic drinks even though I don't drink during vacation), bait , etc...

PBSB offered :
free whale watch for 2 people + free sunset cruise for 2 people (ship is Oceanus) + I pay $135 for 28' sharing deep fishing OR $200 restaurants credit for pueblo bonito resorts' restaurants

Which one is better, and is it worth to take a sales presentation for above offers?
I didn't accept any offer yet, but if those offers are good value, maybe try presentation? I have never attended one before, but since I bought most of my weeks from ebay and resale market, I can resist.
Do you take presentation for quality offers in Mexico?

I have never been on a presentation, and never will. I dont care for the freebies, what I bill for an hour of my time is more $ than the amounts they offer, and when im on vacation that rate increases ten fold. Havent had a offer come close to that figure for me.

There were 6 of us last trip to PBSB, we were offered $200 a couple, so $600 total in resort credit, and only one couple had to attend for it. We declined.

Its worth mentioning that Pueblo Bonito resorts tours are known to be low pressure, so if you were going to do a cabo pres., that may be the one to do with minimum annoyance.

Go on one so you will see why others tell people NOT to go on them...Then there will be one more in our camp.

Since you are staying at the PBSB, I'd do a presentation there because you won't waste a lot of time getting to and from the presentation. But, negotiate a better deal than what you've been offered.

The restaurant credits at the PB is a good deal but see if you can get it higher or add an activity that you are interested in. A sunset cruise is nice, especially if you've never been out to the arch. It's interesting to see the sealions that hang out there and the interesting rock formations. The Caborey or the pirate ship are nice boats to do a cruise on. Since you don't drink, try to avoid a "booze cruise."

The nice thing about the restaurant credits is that you just charge your meals to your room and then use the credit at check-out.

If you do a presentation, just be firm and say NO.

Helen, where are you staying in Cabo?

I am staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.

There was an issue at check-in, I supposed to get a 2 bedroom (presidential), but front desk said there's no more presidential left to check-in yesterday (?), they offered me super executive (1 bedroom with a hot tub in balcony), and I clearly said "no".
Then they offered me super presidential which is a 2 bedroom with hot tub in balcony. However, I have to move to a regular 2 bedroom on Monday.
They offered building 2, second floor, they said it is the most wanted location because it is oceanfront, but I don't know how much the view would be different. Now I am in building 19.
Not happy to move on Monday to another room, but if building 2 is really nice, I will forgive them :)

Thank you guys for your input about presentation.
I don't plan on eating in resort much, so would pass these offers.
I already saw at least 5 whales from my balcony this morning, most of them were mama whales with baby whales.

I do not think the Casa Dorado offer is legit as that fishing trip is worth over $400 and the trip alone is much more than than the presentation budget allows the OPC- meaning what is written will not happen. We attend 8-12 Cabo presentations per year (we stay 5 weeks) and the best deal at Casa Dorado in January was only $150 cash or $200-250 in dining (we took the cash).
Dining certs are worth about 40-50% of face as the PBS ones are issued in $50 increments and a pizza, pasta and glass of water or a basic Mexican dinner for two at Blanco and Rose is $50 so they are really not worth much at PBS.
I agree, IF you want to try a presentation- go with PBS as there is no travel time if you are staying there and they do not use whips and chains like the Mayan and it's a nice resort. Just say no. If you can't, don't go!

What Karen said. And I'll add is that doing the presentation at PBSB rather than elsewhere, if you decide that enough is enough, you can walk. You wouldn't be dependent on a developer to get home.

We had a brunch buffet/presentation a few weeks ago. Funny thing, as soon as I mentioned TUG, there was no more pressure and the meeting ended while the presenter wandered off to find someone more responsive. The 'gifter' came to our table and filled out a fistfull of vouchers. It sure cut down on our in-room cooking.

sorry to hear the check in woes, the closer the villa is to the beach/ocean the more windy it can be on the balcony. but many people do in fact prefer these locations because of proximity to beach, main pool, and the closer water view.

We stayed in building 23 at the very top, the others were also in buildings near us, and we enjoyed the proximity to the sky pool at the top of the resort, and a short, downhill walk to the lobby and shuttle to rose' and medano beach

If one is staying at PB, the certificates are worth it if you just charge meals to your room and then apply the total value of the certificates to your bill at check-out.

Having done one @ PBSB, I would say that the salesperson I got at least knew he wasn't going to sell me anything and got it done as quickly as his boss would let him. :)

I agree PBSB is low pressure.

We always insist on cash and usually get a few hundred dollars. Personally I'd ask for cash because discounted tours are so easy to find. You could probably get cash AND a tour.

I regularily hit Cabo in January or February. This year I found incentives much reduced. Used to get $300 cash or $300 voucher for car rental plus great breakfast buffet. Body snatchers said it was due to government crack down.

This year $250 cash at Mayan was highest.

We stayed at PBS and had a great 2 BR unit on hill overlooking developers mansion. Lots of whales. However, I have difficulty walking and found carts to get car were a pain!

They gave us $200 food voucher, whale watch, 2 drinks and breakfast buffet. Problem is resort prices are so high vouchers get little and you have to pay 20% tip in cash. Hamburger while watching Broncos playoff game was $12.

Also, about half the resorts have a body snatcher from another resort wanting you to sign up if you don't buy!

Also, using cheaper tours. Used to Cabo Escapes but got stuck with Cabo Blue , a big row boat with a sail.

Pirate ship is nice.

All sales pitches are very hard sell and run at least three hours with breakfast. Got in pissing contest with sales manager at PBS when he tried to tell me RCI has a 1 in 5 rule for all Cabo resorts and I had a copy of my reservation showing some resorts have a 1 in 4 rule!

If body snatcher offers free cab, be prepared to pay around $50 to get back if you do not buy! I always rent a car, driving in NY for some 30 years conditioned me.

Also, make sure invitation states US dollars or pesos at say 14/1. Gifting will often try giving you pesos at 10-12 to 1 and getting dollars at bank is pain and you end up losing around 10-15%.
