I want to order a travel package but not sure where to use the hotel portion quite yet. Are they still extending so that I have more time to use beyond 12 months from now?

I tried to extend my last 5 night certificate and they refused. It was switched from the old system and they stated it has been extended for one year already when it was switched to new system.

It was not a big deal for me as I will be using it in June before the new cat goes into effect to get a better value out of it.

I will be buying a new package at end of year for 2021 usage in Europe. I would recommend to wait til you know where and when to use it unless you need the airline miles now to make a booking.

About two months ago, they booked a week for me about two weeks after expiration, but when I asked if the would extend an unused one they said no...but implied exceptions are made.

Has this one been ever extended or switched from old system. Then it may work.

If you have an idea of where you might stay you should look to see if the hotel's category is increasing and if so attach your new certificate to a hotel before March 4th. You can always cancel and rebook afterward (though you'll be stuck with the post 3/4/20 categories).

Ask for 2 or 3 more months up front before you agree to buy the package, they gave me a couple extra months. It was either 14 or 15 months that they gave me to use it so they could get me to commit.
