The city of Las Vegas has been able to land some new attractions. The NHL and now the NFL. Has anyone noticed a higher demand for rentals when the Knights are in town or for NHL Playoff games? Do you expect the NFL will put a bit of a premium on weeks from September through January?

I own at Grandview, week 42, which is right in the heart of the NFL season. I'm beginning to wonder if I would get a premium rental rate for the inaugural season of the NFL team.

Interesting question. I'm guessing most people wanting to go see a Raiders game would only want 1-2 nights, so not sure if there would be much interest in renting a whole week.

I'll agree with what PigsDad/Kurt said. Most people go to LV for under a week. The Raiders there might bring in more tourists during the weekend (that's usually when NFL games are played) but most won't stay much longer than that.

Also, the week that you own, what day of the week does it start and end? If it's a Sunday, then that might be a problem. A fan, even if he wanted to stay a full week, might be hesitant to rent a week if it starts and ends on a Sunday since that is when most NFL games are played and it might be too much for him to check in/out on the same day of the game.

I was looking through RCI Extra Vacations yesterday and there were a lot of Wyndham and Worldmark 3/4 night stays, Mon-Thurs.

Is this a new type of short stay deposit?

Are they anticipating the same weekend demand for football fan stays?

The week I own allows a Friday check-in. Part of the reason I was asking the question.

Las Vegas already is such a massive tourist destination that I expect the NFL to have little to no impact. It's like throwing a pebble into the Pacific Ocean.

Even if they eventually land a Super Bowl, I think the impact would not be felt as many would avoid the city during that event.

I would expect there to be a small uptick in demand based on visiting team spectators coming in for a game but only for periods of less than a week (Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday for Thursday night games and Saturday to Monday for Sunday games). These people would only be coming to Vegas to see the game and they come in groups which makes a timeshare more valuable than a hotel room.

No enough of an increase to justify buying a timeshare in Vegas for that purpose though.
