Apple Ipod or Kindle Fire?

On black friday I bought an Ipod. Now I am thinking I should have gone with the Fire. I do not like the small size of the Ipod. Does the fire do everything the Ipod can do plus do the books and at a larger size. I was told I can return within 15 days.

Which iPod did you buy? Most are intended for music... The Fire is intended for reading... What is your goal?

Order a Fire. If it doesn't do what you want, it's returnable for a month. If the iPod is too small, and an iPad it too big and/or expensive, there's your answer. I'm just not sure that the ideal compact web-surfing, movie watching, music playing, reading machine is available yet.

I have had an iPod touch for a couple of years. I find it very handy when out and about for quick checks on emails and web sites. My only complaint for use when out and about is many web sites are only viewable in the "mobile" configuration. For a quick check it's no big deal, but for prolonged usage I find it irritating. Sorry, but I can't comment on the Fire's ability to do what you want.

On a side note, I recently replaced my 10 year old hand-me-down MacBook pro with an iPad 2 for use while traveling and using wi-fi around the house. Very happy with my purchase. I still use my itouch for music and streaming (I prefer headphones over speakers), but the iPad is great for web surfing. Using it for this post!

My secretary has one of these which she demonstrated. I was sold.
DW wanted one for the music, while I liked the WiFi features. So...
I bought one for her on Black Friday at Target (between 12AM & 2:30 AM).
Regardless, for what I went thru, it ain't goin' back.

Have you considered the 5" Samsung Galaxy player? In between an iPod Touch and Kindle Fire in terms of size.
