Anything new at Owner's Update- SVR??

With ILG buying *wood , have there been any changes to the Owner's Updates at SVR??.
We have not been in years to one and DH was thinking of going to one:doh:

WKORV, WKV, SDO, 4-Kauai Beach Villas, Island Park Village (Yellowstone), Hyatt High Sierra, Dolphin's Cove (Anaheim) NEW: 3 Lawa'i Beach Resort!
It doesn't have anything to do with ILG, but they are now selling Flexoptions at the Florida resorts.

Do you really want to go to an Owner's Update? It will just be a hard-sale on their new product.

Actually, I told my DH he's 'NUTS" to even want to do this. To me it's a waste of my time.
I tried to tell him that ILG is just the company who bought the resort and nothing has changed. Is there anyway he can go and I stay poolside??

No - they require married couples to go together. What does he hope to accomplish?

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. Just thought of going to the update is depressing:zzz:.
Maybe I can temp him with a day at Universal :D and a big pitcher of Margaritas:banana:

It is not required - only if you want to get the 'gift' ($, points, etc.)

Perhaps, I can post this little known annoyance for Sales...
While spending 2 weeks at WPORV - the 1st week I met with Sales (w/o Robin and w/o gift) to discuss a specific fix/fix VOI at WPORV, and also Nanea since it just started sales. During the 2nd week I tried to set up an Owners Meeting (w/ Robin and therefore resort-cash gift) to get more info on Nanea (armed with info from week before, and questions from Tuggers...), and they tried to deny me the Owner Update. They did give in after some back-room discussion and were not happy wasting their time - and we enjoyed a nice dinner at the resort restaurant (also called Nanea) with the gift. The 2nd meeting was very short...
