Zander Life Insurance (term) is recommended by Dave Ramsey. I listen to him sometimes on the way home although I do not agree with all the advice he has some valid points. He promotes this company and I wanted to know if any Tug members have used this service. We live in the northeast.

Our 20 yr term is expiring soon and it is time to seek another provider. We are now in our 50's so it is more expensive now.

Thank You

No experience w/ Zander, but when you are renewing your life insurance, don't fall into the trap of automatically thinking that you need the same amount of coverage as you had when you were younger.

Do you still have dependents that are at home? You probably have more equity in your home so you don't need as much coverage for that. And you probably have much more savings and net worth in general. Just some things to think about...

I went over to the Zander page and there was a big pic of Ramsey.

I don't really know anything about the product, but there does seem to be an advertising relationship between Ramsey and Zander. So it would make sense to me that he recommends them. Even though they make be great folks the advertising thing always makes me suspect.

There are lots and lots of great term life products. I suggest you look online for insurance quotes and go for the company with the highest rating and the best price.

Try www.insure.com Type in your data and see who has the best rates. Check out the top two or three co. with A.M. Best. They rate ins. co. There are a LOT of fine ins. co. Look for one with an A+ rating with A.M. Best.

Your friendly ins. agent, :)

Yes we have reviewed what we think is best now that the boys are done with college and look for AM Best rating.

I have read and heard that you need 10 times your income as a rule of thumb but for what age group as needs change over time. We never had that when the boys were growing.

DH also wonders about Zander since it is promoted by Dave Ramsey and no one else that we can find. Zander links you to insurers. It does have nice info explaining the process.
