Anyone used Equity Acquisition Service (Grand Mayan) successfully for an exchange or purchase? I have researched this company and the same person is listed on all positions on the Board of Directors. I am afraid to send them funds for a closing given the information I have discovered. Has anyone sent them funds and had a successful closing? How long before you received any ownership documents? I need information ASAP as I am suppose to send funds in early August. Please help!!! Many thanks!

it was a purchase with credit for my Diamond Timeshare points.

Unfortunately, these "trade in" deals are almost always scams. Most people end up owning 2 timeshares. Best of luck to you.

I'm confused...

Mexican RTU contracts (there is no "ownership", per se, but merely a finite, date-defined "right to use") are generally handled internally at / by the resort, most often utilizing their own processes and paperwork. I'm puzzled how / why / where this one man show of "Equity Acquistion Service" even fits into the picture at all.

I'm detecting a foul aroma here. Sadly, with Diamond accepting "deedbacks", the same real "value" would be applied for either a deedback or a trade-in (i.e., zero).
