All,

We are going to Maui next month and I'm very excited to return to our property. Due to an error (mine), I have to delay my departure by 3 days and I'm looking for ways to extend. I see availability at HGVC Oahu properties and looking at the website suggests there is no quarantine order for the City of Honolulu.

Has anyone traveled interisland (Maui to Oahu) and not had to do another PCR test? Please advise and thanks!

Best,

Greg

Yes, this month we stayed a week in Maui followed by a week in Oahu. We’re headed back home today.

No additional testing was required from Maui to Oahu. We added the leg and completed the Health questionnaire 24 hours and received our QR for Maui to Oahu. And we showed our Maui exemption results when we checked into our resorts in KoOlina this week.

No PCR test needed travelling from neighbor islands to Oahu. Only need test from Oahu to neighbor islands.

[Slight tangent] The governor recently approved an exemption for interisland travel for those vaccinated in Hawaii. While this doesn't apply to you and/or your situation, the end-goal is to do the same for trans-Pacific travel. It won't be in effect when you travel, but I'm including the info here for those who may be reading this in the future if/when it is in effect.

In the event you have a copious amount of spare time, here's a link to the proclamations issued by the governor: https://governor.hawaii.gov/emergency-proclamations/

Similar question. We are traveling from BI to Maui in July. We will have taken the PCR test a week prior for our flight from Calif to BI. And we will sign up for the safe travels website on Southwest.

Will we need to test again on BI 3 days prior? We are all vaccinated but not in Hawaii.

As it stands right now yes you will have to test again.
