@pittle does Hallmark still have as many new ornament styles every year and produce them in the same quantities? I wonder if new generations are collecting as many as us Baby Boomers did. From hundreds I am down to less than a dozen, possibly less than 1/2 dozen (only one Dia de Los Muertos unbreakable on my recent trees, and some clip on ornaments packed away with the breakables). I used to buy all the holiday ceramic pieces too, and have only Santa and the international children left (and that’s because I love them way more than the going eBay price even though I don’t have room to display them safely because of the brat cat).
They still make a bunch. I only bought 20 this year as I am cutting back to only the ones that are still current series that I started over the years. :). I posted pictures of my trees on the tree thread less than an hour ago.

Yes, and Hallmark's shipping is free with orders over $30 - which is about 2 ornaments!

HALLMARK ORNAMENTS:
Our tree is just about all Hallmark ornaments now, but I usually only buy them for other people these days. My mom bought an ornament for each member of the family every year, and I continued her tradition after she passed away.

Somebody here has a nutcracker thing. There are 42 at last count. There are musical instruments all over the tree. Especially French Horns. You have to zoom in and search to find them. Paula is Principal Horn in the local symphony.

I wish people could see the joy their decorations bring to my grand-children. Halloween was a hoot. I pulled in to one neighbor's driveway when we caught him taking down his spider (the black spider with the red eyes) so my grandson could say how much he loved it. I was afraid my grandson would be dissapointed, but very easily said 'bye spider, see you next year'. We drive by one house that had some crazy decorations - hanging babies of some sort - and my grandson still says 'no more hanging babies (see you next year)'. He might like spiders, bats, and cats better than Santa Claus?

And do you walk around the outside of their bedrooms
saying, "What are you two doing in there?"
-- from living living next to in-laws --

The 15 year old grand daughter next door came over this afternoon. This was after I had shoveled all of the snow off the driveway. Her timing is pretty good as the cookies were out of the oven and on the counter and there was nothing left to shovel.

I saw an ad on Facebook today for all things the Nightmare Before Christmas and beyond. I bet you could find bats and spiders in Santa hats!

One of our neighbors left their very extensive Halloween decorations up, added santa hats, so now it is Christmas.

I skipped the outdoor lights this year, but only because I had foot surgery in early November and am still in a surgical boot. Normally, I put lights around the eves and added a few shrubs and lighted trees to the front lawn.

We also kept the inside decorations minimal. I was able to take the decorations down from the loft before the surgery, so at least we have some decorations up.

Hilarious. My wife also has a nutcracker obsession. Probably similar numbers. I'm shocked I haven't found one in the bed. She had the smaller ones laid out in lines in the floor, looking at them, and my daughter snapped a pic of this and posted to social media. Someone commented that it looked like my wife was "addressing the troops before battle". 🙂

Oh yeah. There are definitely 'themes'. The three wise guys, drummers, teachers, drum majors, royalty, skiers. I should pix some favorites.
