DD had knee surgery last December and in January what looked like bruising started around her knee. Her Surgeon thought it might be RSD. Over the next several months the tissue around her knee atrophied and she began treatment with a pain specialist. We have been to 7 different doctors most think it is RSD or some other nuerological type pain. Treated so far with Lyrica, zoloft, darvoset, Vicodin, nerve blocks, cymbalta... all to little result.

SHe is a very active 20 yo and this is very difficult for her to be limited because of the pain in her knee.

2 months ago we switched her from a pain specialist to a nuero - chiropractor. She is off all meds and is being treated with a electo -shock device - electrical pulses are administered to her knee through a device she controls and deep tissue massage. She is seeing some improvement with these techniques but of course not fast enough to suit her.

Anyone have sucess with anything else? I'm wondering about Hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

My husband has had RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome) for the last 12 years after a foot injury and 2 surgeries. He has tried everything possible. He is on pain management and very strong medication. Hopefully, your daughter's will burn itself out.
