Hi,

I have a timeshare through Diamond Resorts I'm looking to offload and before I put it in the bargain basement I had a some questions I want to be able to answer should I be asked. I realize I can go directly to the sources for some of these answer but I would rather hear some real accounts.

  1. After the deed is transferred, how does the buyer go about booking their timeshare week? I can book now as a member of The Club online but it is my understanding that this membership does not transfer.
  2. Does the buyer receive any sort of "welcome to DRI" package in the mail?
  3. If I wanted to just transfer the deed(aka give away) does this mean closing costs will be reduced?
  4. If I book a week, then do a transfer, can the buyer still use the week and is there anything that must be done aside from the transfer to put the week in the buyers name?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

  1. They get a letter.
[*]If I wanted to just transfer the deed(aka give away) does this mean closing costs will be reduced?
The $250 transfer fee will be the same, you can save by using Ready Legal they charge around $100 to draft the deed plus postage and recoding fees
[*]If I book a week, then do a transfer, can the buyer still use the week and is there anything that must be done aside from the transfer to put the week in the buyers name?
    Should work
Thanks in advance for any responses!
