Anyone have any idea why South Africa resorts no longer carry RCI Gold Crown or Silver rating?

I own a week at Falcon Glen, which I use strictly to convert to points in the RCI system. I did the points for deposit thing for my 2023 and found it was getting about 8,000 less points than it used to -- and it appears the likely reason is that it went from being a Gold Crown to having virtually no award at all. I thought this was odd since it had been at least a Silver resort for the past 20 or so years. I checked and it now seems that virtually no South Africa resort has a Gold or Silver rating. Any idea what's going on? Is RCI penalizing the whole country? And if so, why? Or could this actually be a glitch in the RCI system?
 
Maybe because they really didn't deserve the rating in the first place? I don't really know.

Do you always deposit your week with RCI? I have a post below this one which describes my problems depositing my Dikhololo week with Trading Places. Our resorts are both managed by VMS I believe and VMS is telling me that b/c of a new privacy law in S. Africa they can no longer send verification info to a 3rd party; i.e. Trading Places, etc. Then TPI tells me they won't accept the verification from me when I forward it to them. Pretty sad. Looks like i'll be deeding my week back to VMS.
