Anyone going to LBR soon?

Was hoping that someone going to Lawai Beach Resort fairly soon would do me a huge favor. For someone going for the first time, about 2 miles up the road from this resort is the Spouting Horn (water spouts) which is a big tourist attraction and next to this is a row of about 10 stalls of women selling jewelry.

My husband and I were at LBR in October and I bought some of this jewelry for myself and 3 daughters- but I didn't buy enough. Almost every vendor sold long strands (62-63 inches) of freshwater pearls from China for $10 in various colors. My daughters loved the white and black strands I bought and would love to have them for themselves.

My favor is this.... if I sent you the money, would someone be willing to buy these 6 strands of pearls and send to me? Or if you'd prefer, would you take my email address (I'll send separately upon request) and take it to one of these vendors and ask if they'd get in touch with me?

These should be easy to find on the internet also - just do a google search for the exact description of the pearls.

Thanks, I had googled them, but didn't find anything anywhere near as cheap as $10. Others might be better quality, but for $10, I can buy multiple strands.

Also try the "Hawaiian Trading Post" which is on Lawai rd just before the turn towards Kalahaeo. She has very good quality and prices. We've bought from them for 10 years.

I will be at LBR in January.

What I would prefer doing is getting the vendor's contact information and passing it on to you rather than taking your money (just in case there is any problem, I wouldn't want to get in the middle of it). If, for any reason, that plan doesn't work out, I'll reconsider. I'll be on Kauai for three weeks, so there will be time to give plan A a try before we try plan B.

Thanks all for your great suggestions and alanraycole, for your offer. I received a PM from someone currently at LBR who offered to pass on my email address to the vendors. I know this sounds like a big hassle for something so inexpensive. But it's very hard to find presents for my grown daughters, so I have to pounce when I find something they like.
